Group Classes Resuming Summer ‘08! We offer group dog training classes for puppies and adult dogs. Always a training pioneer, DingoGirl offers clicker classes and classes for dogs with behavior problems. All classes meet once a week for an hour for six consecutive weeks.

Private Lessons
Susan Ward provides private dog training lessons for dogs whose people are too busy to attend classes or would benefit from one on one training. Lessons take place in your home and address basic training and behavior concerns. Each lesson is followed by a written protocol so you and your dog can do homework!

BEHAVIOR COUNSELINGSusan Ward, CPDT offers individualized behavior counseling for dogs who have behavior problems. Initial session includes evaluation and demonstration of management and/or treatment techniques. Susan will design a practical written management & treatment program for you to follow at home. You and your dog can work together with Susan’s help. Email and phone support is provided between sessions.

Group Classes for Puppies and Dogs
Puppy Preschool is open to puppies between 10 and 20 weeks of age. Classes are an opportunity for safe and supervised socialization and early learning and focus on problem prevention.
Learn how to clicker train your puppy to work for you! You and your puppy will have fun as you use this tool to begin training.
Don’t wait to train your pup! A little training goes a long way during puppyhood.
Behavior Basics is open to all dogs over six months old. This course will equip you with the training skills you need to keep your dog well mannered and happy .
Watch your dog become a polite pet who loves to listen to you! You will learn how to install new behaviors on your own and continue to train your dog in your daily life after classes end.
Beyond Basics is designed for dogs and people who have had some training and are interested in learning more. Classes focus on refining and improving behaviors and can be used to prepare dogs for agility or therapy dog classes. This class provides a controlled environment for sustained attention exercises and working with distractions. It also is an excellent opportunity to keep your smart dog on her toes. Students are encouraged to use the clicker.
Difficult Dog Class course is open to dogs whose behavior problems prevent them from attending a regular group training class. This class is most effective as part of a treatment program for reactivity to people or dogs. This class provides a supervised setting for desensitization and counterconditioning sessions. The course also covers installing useful behaviors such as “leave it” and “watch me”on cue. Students develop advanced handling and management skills and learn how to use the clicker as a tool in treating behavior problems.
Each dog must have a behavior evaluation and training session before registering for class. Some dogs will not be ready for the Difficult Dog class and may benefit from other treatment options.
